STEPPE ARENA

The Steppe Arena is a multifunctional project that serves as the vibrant epicenter for community events, arts, culture, and sports. The main concept driving its creation is functionality, ensuring maximum adaptability to cater to a wide range of activities. This includes hosting ice and dryland sports, live performances encompassing national hockey events, festivals, figure skating shows, as well as trade shows. To facilitate these diverse functions, the arena has 360-degree retractable seating and ample event-level support.

One of the standout features of the project is its distinctively designed roof structure, which not only adds aesthetic appeal but also symbolizes the dynamic and swift movements inherent in both sports and arts. Moreover, the roof is strategically sloped towards the south, optimizing passive solar orientation for energy efficiency. Coupled with high-efficiency mechanical systems, this design choice ensures sustainability and minimizes the impact on stormwater, thanks to its arched shape.

With its adaptable design, the Steppe Arena stands as a testament to the integration of community engagement, artistic expression, and sporting prowess. It serves as a versatile hub, capable of transforming to accommodate a wide array of events, while also prioritizing sustainability and energy efficiency.
